HOW WE OPERATE
POWERING GEORGIA
For the 38 EMCs we serve, a significant amount of the power they distribute comes from Ƶ. Using a diverse energy portfolio, we supply energy that is delivered to millions of homes, businesses and public institutions.
Ƶ generates electricity for Georgia's electric membership corporations (EMCs) utilizing a diverse portfolio of nuclear, natural gas, coal and hydroelectric resources.
Through high-voltage power lines, electricity is transmitted across Georgia’s electric grid, connecting millions to reliable and affordable energy.
Local EMCs deliver electricity to homes and businesses over separate networks of lower-voltage distribution lines.
GEORGIA'S ELECTRIC COOPERATIVES
Our customers are 38 of Georgia's electric membership corporations (EMCs). These member-owned electric utilities distribute power to their customers: residents, businesses and public institutions. That’s about 4.4 million people across Georgia.

WHY RELIABLE POWER MATTERS
We know reliable energy isn’t just a nice idea, it’s a necessity. That’s why we work with our member EMCs to meet their existing and expanding power supply needs, ensuring Georgians have the power they need.
ATTENTION TO SAFETY
We all deserve a safe place to work. To ensure the safety of our associates, contractors and visitors, we’re committed to anticipating hazards, promoting safe work behaviors and reinforcing our “Generate Safety” message.
